Handwash Upcycle: Apothecary Match Striker

Handwash Upcycle: Apothecary Match Striker

Forget digging through some clutter-filled junk drawer looking for a matchbook. In five minutes, turn your empty Soapply bottle into an apothecary match strike-on-bottle you’ll proudly display on any tabletop.

MAKE YOUR OWN MATCH STRIKE-ON-BOTTLE

What you need
Upcycled Soapply bottle
Match striker paper
Matches
Cork stopper

How to make it
1. Wash your hands!
2. Peel and stick your match striker paper on the side of your bottle.
3. Fill the bottle with matches, add the stopper, and display near your candle!

Fun fact: Matches have come a long way since they were invented. Did you know the tip of the first match was made mostly of sulphur and would be lit by dipping it into an asbestos bottle filled with sulphuric acid? Yikes!
